বাক্য হলো ঠিক ক্রমে সাজানো শব্দের দল, যা পুরো অর্থ দেয়। বাক্য হতে পারে affirmative, negative, interrogative, imperative বা exclamatory। Affirmative আর negative দুটোই assertive বাক্য।
